Youth Programs Stanislaus County

Are you looking for youth social services or youth programs in Stanislaus County that allow kids to be kids? Staffed by caring facilitators, The Art Restores Kids (ARK) program at Cricket’s Hope is available to children who have experienced family violence or other related trauma. Whether they have witnessed domestic violence in their home or been a victim of life-changing trauma, each child learns what it is like to be in a positive relationship with concerned, loving adults and mentors. Having trusted facilitators encourage and inspire them, these children begin to feel hope and optimism, opening them up to a world of light and opportunity!

Art requires creativity and focus, allowing children to express themselves. Just as important, though, is the ongoing mentoring of children who learn to rely on us to listen and care. We utilize an effective curriculum developed by A Window Between Worlds. Centered at Cricket’s House, the home base of our programs, we also offer ARK at several community partner locations. This includes taking kids to camp to test their mental and physical limitations—where they realize that building relationships and human connections are critical to accomplishing great things. We believe that this realization is an essential component of breaking the cycle of violence.

Are you wondering how you can get involved? You can:

  • Become a counselor for Camp Hope or Camp Cricket. We need volunteers every summer!

  • Volunteer in our Art Restores Kids (ARK) classes. Show that you care by consistently showing up to help them become successful by participating weekly.

  • Sponsor a child or make donations in other areas of need. Grants and generous donors (just like you!) fund these experiences that improve lives and the community.

  • Let us know about a child in need of individualized, restorative programs that teach strength-based prevention and heal children with proven curriculum and caring attention.

Are you ready to “do something” about the challenges facing children victimized by domestic violence or other traumatizing events? Maybe you know a child who needs compassionate, inspiring youth social services or youth programs in Stanislaus County. The programs offered by Cricket’s Hope completely change the lives of children. Immersed in creativity and surrounded by love, they can finally express themselves and let out their feelings. The relief they feel can be witnessed in the light and joy on their faces when they return to see their art teachers or camp counselors!
